Naturalista….a term that seemed to pop up overnight and become quickly associated with natural hair and the natural hair movement. Most women with natural hair identify themselves as “naturalistas”, but what is a naturalista? Is the term naturalista exclusive to women with natural hair?   A naturalista isn’t defined by whether or not she is an African American with “natural” hair. A naturalista is any woman who celebrates her natural beauty. Being a naturalista is a way of life.
